She drops, rolls onto her back,<br \/>\nand waits for a belly rub.<\/p>\n<p>She likes his sound, that happy sound,<br \/>\nas much as I do.<\/p>\n<p>Home cooked food and a dog<br \/>\nwho takes her job seriously.<br \/>\nThe former makes him smile,<br \/>\nthe latter bubbles up out of him<br \/>\nuntil we all feel the joy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The sound bubbles up out of his chest as he watches Sally, our Pyrenees, run the perimeter of the place.
