There are Times<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
There are times when my side aches<\/p>\n
as my ribs go in and out in reaction<\/p>\n
to what someone has said. My smile bursts<\/p>\n
with concavity and I show plenty of teeth.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Other times I react to what someone says that<\/p>\n
is so outlandish that my face looks the same<\/p>\n
but with a touch of irony in my eyes and only<\/p>\n
the normal in and out of breathes to mark my sides.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
In both cases my eyes may fill with tears.<\/p>\n
I feel good in the first case and pain in the other.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
How can such opposites have such similar reactions?<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Maybe there are just so many reactions and we have to dole them out.<\/p>\n
When we\u2019re out of anything new, recycle the old.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
How I feel depends if I\u2019m happy or sad, elated or mad.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
So maybe we should stop this nonsense and just be stoic.<\/p>\n
