My life is abundant with enriching gatherings —<\/p>\n
maybe God spoils me with these,<\/p>\n
parishioners, praying friends, generous with time and selves<\/p>\n
like even more family..<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Nativity is a Catholic parish that has welcomed me<\/p>\n
warmly smiling and chatting and encouraging my ideas<\/p>\n
sharing prayer stories, so that<\/p>\n
weekly Mass is a treasured gathering.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Friends who also enjoy writing gather together monthly<\/p>\n
bringing their new creative writing, or found gems.<\/p>\n
Sharing snacks, general conversation.<\/p>\n
Mostly, we hunger for each other’s next piece.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The Summer Family Reunion gatherings bring together lots of aunts, uncles. and cousins<\/p>\n
Grandparents married two families together — Anna and Patrick Callahan married<\/p>\n
James and Sadie Boyle, some decades ago and we keep trying to stay connected.<\/p>\n
Summertime, 2022 will resume the picnic, fun after the pandemic pause.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
A Lincicomes’ Family gathering for Christmas has been held at my home,<\/p>\n
the eldest child of one of the first Boyle generation.in America<\/p>\n
My Irish trait of storytelling, and the children answer questions<\/p>\n
to get their pick of the visible Christmas presents.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Gatherings, big and small, are generally feasts of food,<\/p>\n
favorite beverages, shared clean-up, catching up, sharing news,<\/p>\n
new babies. achievements, tricks learned, graduations, and retirements.<\/p>\n
Gatherings that make us feel loved are special blessings indeed.<\/p>\n
