Maybe the younger ones<br \/>\nwill. They already do. Us old folks,<br \/>\nnot ready to die yet, we&#8217;ll gather in<br \/>\ndibs and dabs. A child and their children<br \/>\nhere, another child there. A granddaughter,<br \/>\na grandson, a visit masked. A visit after<br \/>\ntesting.<\/p>\n<p>Last Thanksgiving eve was the last big<br \/>\ngathering for us. After that, the covid<br \/>\nmeandered through the family, up one side and<br \/>\ndown the other, hitting some twice.<\/p>\n<p>The novelty of zooming long<br \/>\ngone. Plague without end.\u00a0 Thankful<br \/>\nwe&#8217;re all still on<br \/>\nthis side.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Will we ever gather again like we used to?
