friends are drinking and laughing<\/p>\n
somewhere people are together<\/p>\n
and I\u2019m not there<\/p>\n

maybe it\u2019s better this way<\/p>\n
I wouldn\u2019t want to ruin the fun<\/p>\n
or put any undue pressure<\/p>\n
on an evening with anyone<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
but I wonder and I worry<\/p>\n
if I\u2019ll be there at the right time<\/p>\n
to laugh and smoke and intertwine<\/p>\n
to socialize and really unwind<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I hope they remember me<\/p>\n
while they\u2019re celebrating together<\/p>\n
I hate being alone, and feeling forgotten<\/p>\n
