dearly beloved<\/strong><\/p>\n

we are gathered here,<\/p>\n

our marriages intact<\/p>\n

for the most part,<\/p>\n

to see what these<\/p>\n

ridiculous SCOTUS<\/p>\n

pranksters will make<\/p>\n

of us next. oh, we’ve done<\/p>\n

the marches at the Justice Department,<\/p>\n

the White House, the Reflecting Pool,<\/p>\n

the Vietnam Wall, P Street Beach, you name it.<\/p>\n

Nary a rock was thrown, not even an<\/p>\n

insult, really. We just said our piece,<\/p>\n

pretty please, give us the Equal Rights<\/p>\n

for our granddaughters and nieces.<\/p>\n

Never mind about our measly seventy<\/p>\n

cents on the dollar or all our people<\/p>\n

dead from AIDS. We just don’t want to<\/p>\n

be afraid for the girls who won’t have a say.<\/p>\n

When we put NO MORE WIRE HANGERS<\/p>\n

on the signs that we carry, we mean the babies<\/p>\n

barely grown, the lovely ones just now going to prom.<\/p>\n

For goddess sake, don’t make them go through<\/p>\n

this again. It’s not the abortions we want, anyway,<\/p>\n

per se, but the right to be free of the ill-begotten.<\/p>\n

We know what comes of babies who are hated, spawn<\/p>\n

of rapists and fathers who had no right to take what they took.<\/p>\n

Please read the book, The Power of Women<\/em>, written<\/p>\n

by a man, and you’ll know where to look. Spare us,<\/p>\n
