Searching the Web<\/span><\/p>\n

Where are the stories<\/span><\/p>\n

my ancestors told?<\/span><\/p>\n

They have died in the mind<\/span><\/p>\n

and I\u2019ve stopped insisting<\/span><\/p>\n

on answers from the living.<\/span><\/p>\n

What I\u2019m looking for<\/span><\/p>\n

is not written nor google-able<\/span><\/p>\n

and I am at a loss.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

We remember<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

bellow the pines,<\/span><\/p>\n

standing tall<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

The red bloods have forgotten,<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

but, we haven\u2019t<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

chatter the mycelia,<\/span><\/p>\n

coyly, crocheting webbed fingers<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Then, I will continue the search<\/span><\/p>\n

in the strands<\/span><\/p>\n

and ask the mossy stones,<\/span><\/p>\n

I will catch them dangling<\/span><\/p>\n

from crow\u2019s beak,<\/span><\/p>\n

and listen to the thrumming<\/span><\/p>\n

of the Earth for the stories<\/span><\/p>\n
