The only crackers ever anywhere in the 1960s,<br \/>\nwhen women wore skirts and children didn\u2019t matter.<br \/>\nWell, at least I didn\u2019t matter \u2013 or so I was told. (ouch!)<\/p>\n<p>Saltines with squares of American cheese!<br \/>\nAnd then came Velveeta&#8230; that liquid gold<br \/>\nwhen mixed with Ro-tel tomatoes created movie night.<\/p>\n<p>Oh, saltines! You, with homemade chili on a frozen night!<br \/>\nImpossible to replace the bland, salty balance<br \/>\nagainst jalapenos, beef, and beans.<\/p>\n<p>Saltines! A step beyond water crackers that do nothing<br \/>\nfor a piece of cheese, with a few exceptions,<br \/>\nlike a nice aged brie, or Manchego from La Mancha.<\/p>\n<p>So, diet be damned!
