Ravana \u2013 King or Beast?<\/u><\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Was he the King among kings?<\/p>\n
Carrying his ten heads and immortality<\/p>\n
with grace that challenged the Gods.<\/p>\n
Or was he the demon Rakshasa<\/em>?<\/p>\n Abductor of the fair Sita,<\/p>\n the wife of Rama, the Lord among Lords.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n His intellect unbound, his logic sound<\/p>\n and wisdom profound.<\/p>\n But was he friend or foe?<\/p>\n Was he the lecherous other?<\/p>\n Or the loyal brother?<\/p>\n Disguised as a doe.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The answer, my friend, it all depends<\/p>\n on your own geography.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Folk from the North<\/p>\n believe him to be the devil incarnate.<\/p>\n They burn him on Diwali<\/p>\n to end all evil on earth.<\/p>\n Folk from the South<\/p>\n Worship him.
