The time is once again
\nupon us- The anticipation
\nis high like always
\nI’ve made my preparations <\/p>\n
I’ve prayed to God for strength
\nand stamina- I write to please him
\nno one else- And it takes alot out
\nof me<\/p>\n
I’ve gone to the store
\nand bought groceries both
\ngood and bad-
\nI have a sweet tooth
\nand sometimes it helps<\/p>\n
It’s cloudy and rainy outside
\nThreatening a storm or two
\nPerfect weather for a night such
\nas this<\/p>\n
I have told everyone not
\nto bother me- They know my writing
\nis important to me-whether they
\nappreciate it or not<\/p>\n
I can see that like always
\nthe time is growing short
\nthe rest of my preparations
\nare necessary- <\/p>\n
Extra paper
\nPens and pencils
\nlots of cocoa
\ntea
\nheadphones
\nand music
\nA change or two of scenery
\nand above all-<\/p>\n
Patience.
\nThrow in some sleep deprivation
\nfor good measure<\/p>\n
The words won’t come
\ntoo quickly
\nand that’s ok,
\nbut if they do-
\nI must be ready to catch them.<\/p>\n
Sometimes the words
\ndon’t want to listen and come
\nfar too quickly for me to catch them
\nall<\/p>\n
The only demands on my time
\ntoday, is that I pay attention to
\nthe clock at times<\/p>\n
