up high where important people sat<\/p>\n
In my youthful hubris<\/p>\n
I knew this is where I belonged<\/p>\n
I vowed I’d never shine my own shoes again<\/p>\n

for a certain period of time<\/p>\n
but this oath proved to be premature<\/p>\n
An alternate island called to me<\/p>\n
No need for shoeshine these days<\/p>\n
