\nas I stay in god\u2019s own country
\nstreets lively as can be
\noh of course, it\u2019s the capital city!<\/p>\n
For me though, it\u2019s so much more
\nit\u2019s my summer vacation
\nmy only connection to the city
\nThis is where I grew up.<\/p>\n
From finishing my handwriting homework
\nto researching college\u2019s coursework
\nfrom enrolling in drawing classes
\nto enrolling in driving classes,
\nThis is where I grew up.<\/p>\n
Every vacation,
\nthe zoo, the beach, the museum
\nthe temples, the malls and family friends
\noh there are lists of places to visit<\/p>\n
Different kinds of Trees everywhere
\ncoconut trees, Banana trees,
\ntrees that are particularly pretty
\nand the language, well that\u2019s just the best<\/p>\n
A city with so much more to it
\na city whose language is just as pretty
\na city I\u2019ve lived very little in
\nyet, one that feels so much more like home<\/p>\n
But as I grew, those around me grew too
\nas my grandparents turn old
\nas the walls lose their strength
\nmy family decides it\u2019s time to let go of the house<\/p>\n
I must tell you before I depart
\nthat this city with its pretty trees,
\nthe people, their language and their culture,
