{"id":120423,"date":"2022-06-26T04:45:58","date_gmt":"2022-06-26T08:45:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/?p=120423"},"modified":"2022-06-26T09:10:58","modified_gmt":"2022-06-26T13:10:58","slug":"hivemind","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/2022\/06\/hivemind\/","title":{"rendered":"Hivemind"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Do you make honey<br \/>\nWith your slander?<br \/>\nOr is it a nest<br \/>\nBuried beneath soil?<br \/>\nUnderground caverns<br \/>\nTwisting paper<br \/>\nBirthing stingers of lies<br \/>\nPaper thin<br \/>\nThe nest you dwell within<br \/>\nDo you find yourself<br \/>\nWalking the corridors alone<br \/>\nDry and crumbling<br \/>\nWhile you gather others to congregate?<br \/>\nIs it the sweet nectar you seek<br \/>\nAs what the honeybees<br \/>\nWho busily toil<br \/>\nAnd here, you want to keep it in a jar<br \/>\nUntil it crystalizes<br \/>\nThen put it under the heat<br \/>\nIn order for it to pour for you<br \/>\nAnd your paper words<br \/>\nAbsorb into the walls<br \/>\nYou find yourself stuck<br \/>\nWith stingers blindly<br \/>\nFinding your flesh<br \/>\nLike thorns from a rose<br \/>\nThey tear<br \/>\nYet never flower.<br \/>\nYet my garden of clover<br \/>\nFeeds the production of<br \/>\nWhat moves slowly<br \/>\nAs I pour the work into myself<br \/>\nand God&#8217;s word into yours.<br \/>\nYou cannot escape<br \/>\nThe entrance sealed<br \/>\nIn a garden veil of love<br \/>\nA glue that purifies<br \/>\nAn antiseptic that cures<br \/>\nAll the wounds embittered<br \/>\nAnd heals with gentleness<br \/>\nAnd slowly it drips in<br \/>\nHealing the soul.<br \/>\nI nourish the bees with truth<br \/>\nYou could free yourself<br \/>\nBut your tongue is a dull sword<br \/>\nAnd succumbs to the fluid amber<br \/>\nKeeping your own self trapped<br \/>\nWithin your paper deceits.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Do you make honey With your slander?
