The city that will never sleep\/
\nThat will either awe you or make you weep\/<\/p>\n
Where the rich rub shoulders with the poor\/
\nWhere impossible opposites meet\/
\nAnd in this, lies its grandeur\/
\nShe’s Mumbai; arms outstretched, always cheerful and upbeat<\/p>\n
The morning sees her buzzing busy, embracing all kinds
\nHer invisible vein of love, in an unbreakable bond, all and sundry, it binds<\/p>\n
Her lifelines; zanzy cars and the BEST and the local
\nOur Mumbaiyya lives ‘bindaas’, is always vocal<\/p>\n
But then, Mumbai isn’t at all times, rosy
\nAccepts all but not always cosy.<\/p>\n
But when calamity befalls, bombs blast or rains fall,
\nIn unison do the mumbaikars rise
