I wear my heart on my sleeve,<\/p>\n

you tell me.<\/p>\n

I am hurt by your words<\/p>\n

but as they sink in,<\/p>\n

I realize they are true.<\/p>\n

I DO wear my<\/p>\n

heart on my sleeve.<\/p>\n

That is because<\/p>\n

I love hard,\u00a0deeply.<\/p>\n

I love everyone who means<\/p>\n

something to me.<\/p>\n

I fall in love with them:<\/p>\n

my children,<\/p>\n

my friends,<\/p>\n

my students.<\/p>\n

Exposing my heart<\/p>\n

so openly<\/p>\n

makes me more<\/p>\n

vulnerable.<\/p>\n

I am madly in love with<\/p>\n

people who make me<\/p>\n

laugh, cry,<\/p>\n

feel, love.<\/p>\n

You reap the benefits<\/p>\n

of my fashionable heart<\/p>\n

on my sleeve.<\/p>\n

Feel free to tug on it<\/p>\n

if you feel it needs<\/p>\n

a little more love.<\/p>\n

I can always use<\/p>\n

more of that.<\/p>\n
