I’m pacing outside the door.<\/p>\n

I want to go in<\/p>\n

but I can’t.<\/p>\n

I know it’s unlocked.<\/p>\n

I know I’m invited.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I choose to perch on the railing instead<\/p>\n

close my eyes,<\/p>\n

and imagine…<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Your skin must be so soft<\/p>\n

and when it is damp like that,<\/p>\n

you must smell so wonderful…<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I experiment, breathing in.<\/p>\n

I can feel myself taking the soap from your hands,<\/p>\n

and as I look into your blue, blue eyes<\/p>\n

I slowly slide the bar over your already slippery body<\/p>\n

and I move closer still.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I nibble some places that need nibbling,<\/p>\n

and I put the bar away\u00a0because my hands cannot stand<\/p>\n

to be even that far away from you…<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

As I run my fingers all over you,<\/p>\n

and our breathing changes,<\/p>\n

the phone rings.<\/p>\n

Startling me, so that I almost fall off the banister.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Disoriented, with the taste of you still all over me,<\/p>\n

I quietly slip downstairs<\/p>\n
