{"id":123702,"date":"2022-06-27T05:02:31","date_gmt":"2022-06-27T09:02:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/?p=123702"},"modified":"2022-06-27T05:02:31","modified_gmt":"2022-06-27T09:02:31","slug":"her-favorite-things","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/2022\/06\/her-favorite-things\/","title":{"rendered":"Her Favorite Things"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Purple<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Any shade of purple<\/p>\n<p>will have her glee like a little<\/p>\n<p>girl again.<\/p>\n<p>As long as I can remember<\/p>\n<p>she always wore purple.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Butterflies<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Moth opposite cousin.<\/p>\n<p>She adored the unique<\/p>\n<p>symmetrical patterns.<\/p>\n<p>Anything with Butterflies<\/p>\n<p>sends her flying and fluttering<\/p>\n<p>with happiness.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Flamingos<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Standing on one leg<\/p>\n<p>not losing balance<\/p>\n<p>in the still lakes<\/p>\n<p>that reflect<\/p>\n<p>the bright pink feathers.<\/p>\n<p>They would always catch her attention,<\/p>\n<p>she would wish that she could pet them.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Butterfingers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The candy of The Simpsons<\/p>\n<p>The famous saying<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Don&#8217;t lay a finger on my Butterfinger.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>She would laugh at the commercials<\/p>\n<p>then crave that buttery crunch.<\/p>\n<p>Her favorite of favorites.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Butter Pecan Ice cream<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The pecans.<\/p>\n<p>the buttery flavor<\/p>\n<p>in<\/p>\n<p>the ice cream<\/p>\n<p>brought out the kid in her.<\/p>\n<p>Her smile became 10yrs younger.<\/p>\n<p>With each bite, her eyes once again twinkled.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Most of all<\/p>\n<p><strong>Her kids\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>are her favorite<\/p>\n<p>nieces and nephews,<\/p>\n<p>and grandkids.<\/p>\n<p>She treasures each and every one of them.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Purple Any shade of purple will have her glee like a little girl again.
