\nAnd Silent.<\/p>\n
There was nothing but
\nThe music from our hearts.
\nFalling like rain,
\nOur tears fell.
\nWe were alone
\nTogether.<\/p>\n
We kept him in
\nA corner of our minds
\nNever forgetting
\nThe love that he gave us,
\nHis smile, his soul
\nOf an adored cat.
\nThis noir Feline.
\nWe called him our son,
\nA piece of our hearts that we lost,
\nThat we wanted to keep with us;<\/p>\n
He was our missing piece.
\nOur one thing we called \u201cHome\u201d.
\nWhen we felt alone.
\nSomething was missing from our bed,
\nOn our covers,<\/p>\n
From our house built for one.
\nWe looked everywhere,
\nWe thought like him,
\nThen like his eyes on cat nip:
\nRound and golden like the moon,
\nWe thought, we uttered the taboo possibility:
\nHe\u2019s gone.<\/p>\n
There like our bodies,
\nOur sanity fell,
\nPlummeted to the floor, our
\nHearts hit the floor.<\/p>\n
We knew then
\nthat we were going to be
\nMissing everything:
\nHome.
\nSon.
