\nThis… touchy… subject…<\/p>\n
Perhaps a work in progress
\nas we all are, after all.<\/p>\n
I learned today
\nto never say
\n“You make me feel…”
\nto a narcissist.<\/p>\n
Except, I like that song.<\/p>\n
True… it does give away power.
\nSo does the song, but
\nin a sweeter way.<\/p>\n
Narcissists push engagement
\nwhen one would rather
\nwalk away.<\/p>\n
Why is that?<\/p>\n
Construction.
\n“You” is not constructive.
\n“I am…” is self-empowering.<\/p>\n
A narcissist will still attack,
\nminimize, criticize, gaslight,
\nscream, yell, trivialize,
\nand on and on.<\/p>\n
Pray for them?
\nThat’s where I lack faith.<\/p>\n
Walk away from them?
\nSigh… I’ve tried.
\nAnd tried, and tried.<\/p>\n
They need me…
