Two loves apart in a mellow mood,<\/p>\n
And since I could not have them both<\/p>\n
And be one heart, long I thought<\/p>\n
And kissed one deeply there I swooned<\/p>\n
To where he took my breath away;<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Then kissed the other, just as well,<\/p>\n
And having perhaps the better hair,<\/p>\n
Because it was glossy and thick with care;<\/p>\n
Though as for that the combing there<\/p>\n
Had shined the swoop I did not care,<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
And both that morning equally shorn<\/p>\n
In sheaves no pep had stopped the flood.<\/p>\n
Oh, I kept a lock without dismay!<\/p>\n
Yet knowing how his tears did sway,<\/p>\n
I doubted would it grow again that way.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I shall be telling this with my keen eye<\/p>\n
Somewhere pages and pages hence:<\/p>\n
Two loves apart in a mood, and I-<\/p>\n
I took the one less baldened by,<\/p>\n
