{"id":126419,"date":"2023-09-02T01:37:26","date_gmt":"2023-09-02T05:37:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/?p=126419"},"modified":"2023-09-02T01:37:26","modified_gmt":"2023-09-02T05:37:26","slug":"once-more-into-the-breech-my-friends","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/2023\/09\/once-more-into-the-breech-my-friends\/","title":{"rendered":"Once more into the breech, my friends"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After a two year hiatus due to environmental factors beyond my control, I&#8217;m attempting this challenge yet again.<\/p>\n<p>The timing is a bit odd, not just the 3 a.m. start time (I&#8217;m im Hawaii), but the full moon and the situation here in Maui after a series of horrific fires took hundreds of homes, businesses, and lives just a few weeks ago still fresh and raw in the collective psyche.<\/p>\n<p>We all process tragedy differently, and personally writing has been a valuable tool to deal with emotions that threaten to overwhelm.
