“Another Today…”<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

No alarm called –<\/p>\n

Just eyes now aware<\/p>\n

wandering, wandering yet another<\/p>\n

mornings path…<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

“T’is a chill morning – ”<\/p>\n

freshly-stale coffee in hand,<\/p>\n

in mind…<\/p>\n

“- to start this …day -”<\/p>\n

echoes float …somewhere within,<\/p>\n

somewhen within,<\/p>\n

“a morn of remembrance,<\/p>\n

yet again…”<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

…And a view of coffee’s heat expanding away as<\/p>\n

grey-blue sky, early morn ground mysts – intertwine<\/p>\n

and all meander toward transparency then beyond<\/p>\n

to a never-filling emptiness<\/p>\n

that patiently awaits our arrival.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Leaning…<\/p>\n

leaning…<\/p>\n

arms finding rails –<\/p>\n

body on auto-pilot arriving<\/p>\n

where feet have worn the place of pause.<\/p>\n

Ghostlets of cars wandering concrete-ribbons…<\/p>\n

barely aware<\/p>\n

though still within notice.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The mind …touches… the echoes<\/p>\n

of remembered moments.<\/p>\n

Eyes glaze over with years long gaze<\/p>\n

into other whens…<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Sounds become …yesternows…<\/p>\n

and time …time…<\/p>\n

enwraps my senses anew.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I no longer wish…<\/p>\n

life just IS –<\/p>\n

beginning moments<\/p>\n

again<\/p>\n

…of you.<\/p>\n
