it may satisfy in the moment;<\/p>\n
but may lead to self deprecation<\/p>\n
without regard to you.<\/p>\n

When the next demand is made.<\/p>\n
setting your priorities aside<\/p>\n
Your needs settle down to the bottom of the wish list<\/p>\n
for burial in an early grave.<\/p>\n
No one will cry or even mourn<\/p>\n
when your work is left undone.<\/p>\n
You’ll blame yourself for saying yes<\/p>\n
even when it caused you harm.<\/p>\n

Yes is always pleasant<\/p>\n
it makes one feel so good,<\/p>\n
but sometimes no can mean just as much<\/p>\n
when plain reality is understood.<\/p>\n
No is not a bad word,<\/p>\n
No doesn’t mean I don’t like you;<\/p>\n
it doesn’t mean I don’t care.<\/p>\n
It simply means I have a life<\/p>\n
and my life has to take priority over you.<\/p>\n
