{"id":127967,"date":"2023-09-02T10:18:25","date_gmt":"2023-09-02T14:18:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/?p=127967"},"modified":"2023-09-02T10:18:25","modified_gmt":"2023-09-02T14:18:25","slug":"point-of-view-at-sixty","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/2023\/09\/point-of-view-at-sixty\/","title":{"rendered":"Point Of View at Sixty"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Point Of View at Sixty<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Sixty years old, hard to believe<\/p>\n<p>I have lived this long.<\/p>\n<p>Time has slipped by so fast,<\/p>\n<p>seems like I just turned fifty.<\/p>\n<p>A bit stiffer in the morning,<\/p>\n<p>harder to get out of bed.<\/p>\n<p>I can stoop down to get something,<\/p>\n<p>more difficult to get back up.<\/p>\n<p>Retirement and medicare just ahead,<\/p>\n<p>not sure if I am ready for them yet.<\/p>\n<p>In bed by 9 or sometimes 10PM,<\/p>\n<p>but awake at 3 or sometimes 4AM.<\/p>\n<p>Cpap to help sleep, medications for<\/p>\n<p>low thyroid and high cholesterol.<\/p>\n<p>Gluten, dairy and high fructose free diets,<\/p>\n<p>sure takes the fun out of eating.<\/p>\n<p>Where will I be in ten years,<\/p>\n<p>will I still be alive is a better question.<\/p>\n<p>Only time will tell!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Point Of View at Sixty &nbsp; Sixty years old, hard to believe I have lived this long.
