why don’t I look like everyone else<\/p>\n
I’m always so embarrassed!<\/p>\n
it’s so hard for me to say this, even sixty later<\/p>\n
my body, my hair and clothes are all dirty<\/p>\n
I smell!<\/p>\n
teachers never did anything to help me<\/p>\n
today’s teachers are mandated to notice<\/p>\n
even as I write about this now, I feel agitated and alone<\/p>\n
the disgrace is always with me<\/p>\n
it’s hard to shed a trauma<\/p>\n
