two years under my belt<\/p>\n
since my mind began to travel<\/p>\n
many battles fought<\/p>\n
many hurdles crossed<\/p>\n
many things unveiled<\/p>\n
I had to learn to cut the loss<\/p>\n
I used to be so blind<\/p>\n
I didn\u2019t know what I know now<\/p>\n
and not because I was a dummy<\/p>\n
I had just lived life<\/p>\n
the best way I knew how<\/p>\n
No tools<\/p>\n
No knowledge<\/p>\n
Not an ounce of common sense<\/p>\n
I had never been instructed<\/p>\n
On being a decent human<\/p>\n
Oh my mistakes did cost me<\/p>\n
But they were all worthwhile<\/p>\n
Today I can say honestly<\/p>\n
Life was worth every trial<\/p>\n
Today I tell my old self<\/p>\n

All the while walking through hell<\/p>\n
