the comfort i know waits<\/p>\n

in the familiar wall of color,<\/p>\n

i study the white wall<\/p>\n

that challenges me<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

not finding the anticipated emptiness,<\/p>\n

i discover a way up<\/p>\n

a grey so light<\/p>\n

a white so bright<\/p>\n

no end in sight<\/p>\n

nearly lost in the whiteness<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

tempted by the dare<\/p>\n

i almost miss the blackness<\/p>\n

lying low against the white wall<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

weapons?<\/p>\n

or protection?<\/p>\n

or illusion?<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

no answers<\/p>\n

only knowing<\/p>\n

that\u2019s me<\/p>\n

covered in my blackness<\/p>\n

deciding if I dare step into uncertainty<\/p>\n

and climb<\/p>\n

blindly, endlessly into the unknown<\/p>\n

or turn to the color wall<\/p>\n

where i will find welcome<\/p>\n

and warmth<\/p>\n
