The majestic wonder – sky fire<\/p>\n
is beginning to peak throug<\/p>\n
hthe window. My guests are<\/p>\n
missing the beauty –<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
but if I’m being honest they<\/p>\n
see it more often than I do<\/p>\n
these days. I’ll just remind<\/p>\n
myself that I signed up for<\/p>\n
this – the coffee is hot and<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
my ideas really are coming<\/p>\n
strong, I just have to<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
write about what really matters:<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n

The place where we gather to<\/p>\n
revel and weep, to create and<\/p>\n
inspire, to listen and be heard.<\/p>\n

I guess I should probably explain what one of my goals is for today aside from completely finishing the full marathon – I want my poems to serve as the skeleton of a chap book or poetry collection titled the Hummingbird Lounge which is also the name of my Substack Newsletter.
