{"id":128453,"date":"2023-09-02T10:53:20","date_gmt":"2023-09-02T14:53:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/?p=128453"},"modified":"2023-09-02T10:53:20","modified_gmt":"2023-09-02T14:53:20","slug":"of-light-and-dark","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/2023\/09\/of-light-and-dark\/","title":{"rendered":"Of Light and Dark"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hour Two<\/p>\n<p>Of two minds and two shades.<br \/>\nOne of lightness the other dark.<br \/>\nOf open fields and black caves.<\/p>\n<p>A positive,<br \/>\nA negative,<br \/>\nAnd somewhere in between.<\/p>\n<p>As the sunlight shines my spirit glows,<br \/>\nA sprinkle here a sprinkle there as she goes.<\/p>\n<p>When the power goes dark and the light is gone,<br \/>\nShe hides staying safe til the light of dawn.<\/p>\n<p>Like a coin with two sides,<br \/>\nAn in and an out the ups and downs.<br \/>\nOpposites attract so the story goes,<br \/>\nEbbs and flows as the ocean\u2019s tides.<\/p>\n<p>My inner self versus the outer shell,<br \/>\nThe private side and I am here doing well.<\/p>\n<p>The innie and the outie of who I am.<br \/>\nTwo minds the same but not,<br \/>\nOne body one soul is what I\u2019ve got.<\/p>\n<p>A positive,<br \/>\nA negative,<br \/>\nAnd somewhere in between.<\/p>\n<p>Living within a shadow,<br \/>\nRarely appearing in daylight.<br \/>\nSometimes hollow,<br \/>\nSometimes a mere spark.<\/p>\n<p>Of lightness or dark,<br \/>\nSee through or not,<br \/>\nI live on both planes.<\/p>\n<p>A positive,<br \/>\nA negative,<br \/>\nAnd somewhere in between.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hour Two Of two minds and two shades.
