Yet, surprising myself, I went a different way than I thought. (One of those out of nowhere experiences.)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>#11<br \/>\n<strong>Legs\u2019s Eleven.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>for the first time in a decade<br \/>\ni am remembering Harry Mulroney<\/p>\n<p>nicknamed Legs because his were short<br \/>\na fresh faced boy as he remains to me<\/p>\n<p>though when i knew him, of course<br \/>\ni was about that young too<\/p>\n<p>played cricket in the same team<br \/>\nas head-in-the-cloud teenagers<\/p>\n<p>he was the wildly talented captain<br \/>\nwhereas, i, was just wild<\/p>\n<p>good friends, only semi-close in the way<br \/>\nboys often must stay, not best mates<\/p>\n<p>yet we talked of renting a place<br \/>\nin the city, when we went there to study<\/p>\n<p>two country kids planning for uni<br \/>\nmost around us had no such goal<\/p>\n<p>we\u2019d talk about it for hours, at training<br \/>\nin the car to away games, making the idea safe<\/p>\n<p>yet as he was a few years younger<br \/>\ni went before him &amp; we slipped apart<\/p>\n<p>another precious thing lost<br \/>\nfor reasons i still don\u2019t understand<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/garethroi.files.wordpress.com\/2015\/06\/bingomade84.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-713\" src=\"https:\/\/garethroi.files.wordpress.com\/2015\/06\/bingomade84.jpg?w=274\" alt=\"BingoMade84\" width=\"274\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>#87.
