Hour 3: Missing the Veranda<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
We still buy coffee from the green siren<\/p>\n
that bears the same name – but we live<\/p>\n
in a completely different place with an<\/p>\n
entirely new environment – we have a porch<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
but less of a view. We have time, but not<\/p>\n
as often as we once did. We have artistry<\/p>\n
flowing through not only our veins but<\/p>\n
the world around us too. There are actual<\/p>\n
hummingbirds that appreciate our yard –<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
they bring me reminders of all the people<\/p>\n
who dared to leave and they keep the<\/p>\n
flowers in bloom – don’t ask me how<\/p>\n
but they do. Maybe it’s magic. And I am<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
alive here. Even if it doesn’t quite\u00a0feel l<\/p>\n
