the spray of ocean bites into my skin, sharp sting\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

the sky is only blue if that\u2019s what you decide\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

andre was born in detroit, murdered there too\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

ocean nestles against my shins like a familiar cat\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

this is the hottest summer\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

the ocean is full of plastic, is ever filling still\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

ocean is a cauldron, bubbling full of hot plastic\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

and carcasses and bodies and drapetomaniacs\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

in the name of innovation, in the name of progress\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

what came first?<\/span><\/p>\n

the freedom or the dying\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

i mean dying is a freedom<\/span><\/p>\n

the earth will heat<\/span><\/p>\n

the ozone will melt\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

the viruses will spread<\/span><\/p>\n

we will keep dying<\/span><\/p>\n

we will keep killing\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

we will keep being killed<\/span><\/p>\n

empires will fall\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

there will be carnage<\/span><\/p>\n

it will be terrifying before it is beautiful\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
