Whether it is a dream or not<\/p>\n
it doesn’t matter<\/p>\n

But somehow Life has conspired<\/p>\n
to find me here, now, with you….<\/p>\n

I find myself…<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
With this mountain<\/p>\n
Stranger…kinfolk…<\/p>\n
This imperfect black strength<\/p>\n
This beautiful scarred freedom<\/p>\n
My history…my possibility…and more…<\/p>\n
I am small with a mountain in my belly<\/p>\n
Because You are here<\/p>\n
Keeping me company<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
That…and my coffee<\/p>\n
I’ve grown to take mine<\/p>\n
with just enough cream, just enough sugar<\/p>\n
and a hint of bitter bite at the back….<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I find myself…<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
With this quantum of wildness<\/p>\n
Stranger…kinfolk…<\/p>\n
This buoyant black strength<\/p>\n
of a vulnerable, unanswerable question<\/p>\n
A sacrament to respond…to tend…to tenderness….<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
To raise a wildness<\/p>\n
is never an easy thing<\/p>\n
especially in these evil days<\/p>\n
that plot against black boys<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
But grace has conspired<\/p>\n
for a moment’s respite<\/p>\n
to lay all my burdens down<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Size is only a matter of time my Son<\/p>\n
one day, I pray, the Mountain of God<\/p>\n
will grow you tall like me<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
My beautiful black boy wildness<\/p>\n
