{"id":129633,"date":"2023-09-02T12:09:28","date_gmt":"2023-09-02T16:09:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/?p=129633"},"modified":"2023-09-02T12:09:28","modified_gmt":"2023-09-02T16:09:28","slug":"settle-wergle-wrote-me-a-poem","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/2023\/09\/settle-wergle-wrote-me-a-poem\/","title":{"rendered":"Settle wergle wrote me a poem"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Again she stumbled on a contest<br \/>\n&#8220;why do they care?&#8221; she said<br \/>\nThere&#8217;s this scar on her chest<br \/>\n&#8220;No one cares how little writers fare&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Same  old same old<br \/>\nWhat glitters these days is fake gold!<\/p>\n<p>I know a girl<br \/>\nWho wrote a million and one times<br \/>\nBut no one would swirl<br \/>\nThey live  on as  her artistic heart dies<\/p>\n<p>Even the London bridge lady doubted her fairness<br \/>\nUntil the builders shielded their eyes from all her brightness<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m quite shy to admit you see,<br \/>\nPerhaps you have noticed?<br \/>\nI&#8217;m the she and the she is me<br \/>\nOne writer no one has ever noticed<\/p>\n<p>A horse by the name Wergle<br \/>\nNeighed at her from her phone screen<br \/>\nYour feather kept giving her a tickle<br \/>\nTill She  yelled &#8216;I&#8217;m a persevering Queen!&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>She usually toiled her pen for no dime<br \/>\nBut you had the girlie&#8217;s black pupils<br \/>\nreplaced with dollar sign<\/p>\n<p>You seem to be  a straw<br \/>\n&#8216;Cause I&#8217;ll be a camel<br \/>\n&#8220;No entry fee&#8221; was what I saw<br \/>\nOkay!
