\nA wintry day stuck indoors the outside world a flurry. <\/p>\n
Warm air meets cold,
\nA film of dew,
\nFingerprints dotting.
\nFunny faces and curlicues drawn upon a clear page, patterns running into each other.
\nThe treetops covered drooping by the weight. <\/p>\n
A chilled breeze,
\nObscuring the sight,
\nPellets of ice bouncing.
\nOutside, the world is quiet, muffled by a blanket draped, covering all it touches.
\nIcy roads unsafe to cross.<\/p>\n
The image of a child,
\nPouting and sad,
\nOnly wanting to play.<\/p>\n
Dreams of snow forts, angels, sleds, throwing snowballs, skating on frozen ponds.
\nPlaying with friends.<\/p>\n
Long winter days,
\nHot chocolate and marshmallows,
\nVideos and games.<\/p>\n
The first day of winter has arrived, the promise of snow and days growing shorter.
\nIndoor days no fun for little ones.<\/p>\n
A child at the window,
\nSad eyes looking out,
