In the dead of the night, in the full of the moon,<\/p>\n
we meet at the juxtaposition of Never and Soon.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
We enter in silence; we all feel the gloom;<\/p>\n
sit on rough benches in an ice-carved room.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
For what are we waiting? What is it we seek?<\/p>\n
We hope for an audience or at least a quick peek<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
of the Leader who leads us, whose words we believe.<\/p>\n
We need to see him, and then we can leave.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
We\u2019ve followed his teachings the best that we could.<\/p>\n
There\u2019s nothing we want more than we want to be good.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
He never has joined us or shown us a sign<\/p>\n
although we\u2019ve been waiting since the year 109.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Now stomachs are growling; we\u2019ve been here all day.<\/p>\n
I\u2019m guessing our Leader has nothing to say.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
We\u2019ll come back next full moon, for he says we should.<\/p>\n
There\u2019s nothing we want more than we want to be good.<\/p>\n
