I\u2019ve never had a manicure.
\nA budget thing, yes, and also
\na time thing. Usually, I\u2019m doing
\nmy nails after midnight. No salons
\nopen then so it works into my schedule.<\/p>\n
If you know me, you know my nails
\nare long. Sometimes too long between
\ntrims and polish changes; when I type
\nand everything is numbers, I know
\nit\u2019s time.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s time now but I know it will take me
\na while to decide on a color. My polish
\ncollection is massive, divided into seasonal
\nsummer light and winter dark; creme, frost,
\nglitter, iridescent, mild and wild, trendy,
\nsassy, mirror, matte, and almost all
\na shade of purple.<\/p>\n
I pick Fandango with a stripe of Berry Blush
\nbut then I see Rule Breaker, then Bolidonna,
\nPompeii, Plum Crazy, Between the Sheets,
\nooh Parlez-Vous, and settle on Purple Haze
\nwith a shimmer of Glazed Donut.<\/p>\n
Midnight start, the sun is rising;
\nI am yawning, reprimanding myself
\nto tone down the collection, far too many
\ncolors, too many choices take too long
\nto do my too long nails but when I\u2019m done,
\nI agree they are purpleluscious.<\/p>\n
