The impact<\/p>\n

Of doom:<\/p>\n

‘The votes are in, we have a new Prime Minister!’<\/p>\n

‘Thank God it wasn’t a child!’ the public cried<\/p>\n

For all the difference it will make –<\/p>\n

But still, it eased a nation’s heartache.<\/p>\n
