Hour Four<\/p>\n
Outlining plans
\nwith graphite tracing
\nthe intent-
\ngradients of charcoal
\ndelineate from our
\npreconceived form
\nan insult to our potential.
\nOur attempts to take over
\nand mold over
\nthe wire mesh construction-
\nhalf-hearted clay structure
\nunassuming
\nto the crack from the
\nheat of the kiln.
\nWe observe the slanted strokes
\nof ink to pen
\nin abstract thought
\nand underlying meaning.
\nOil streaks as the canvas weeps
\nfields of color upon it’s blank slate
\na newborn creation yearning
\nto stretch it’s legs
\nand run like water
\nchanging colors-
\nchameleon ideations
\nMaking our reality
\ninstead of our minds.
\nTerra verde and Payne’s grey lament-
\ncoalescing hues
\nof personality, a prism
\nof sun-stricken fractals
\nwhose reflection is diffused
\nupon the walls of self-
\na color scheme of multi-chromatic
\nemotions undulating
\nwith no adverse effect
\nto the masterpiece mirrored
\nin our choice of being-
\nto know without seeing…
\nBlindfolded painters are we
\nbequeathing the authority of art
\nto the greatest creator-
\nour free-will desire for control
\nof our imaginings,
\na paltry scribble compared
\nto the artistic hands who has
\na grander idea in mind
\nof our future-
\na magnum opus that is life.
\nWith authoritative strokes,
\nHe fashions us instruction –
\ndual creators working in tandem
\nwith destiny.
\nOur destination, a wisp of brush
\na flick of pencil,
\nthe stroke of pastel faith-
\nthe writ of our stories
\nas we are the ink
