The details are up to you.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>So Close<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Oi, Oi, what do we have here,\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Deep breathy voice behind me, quite clear<\/p>\n<p>as I picked up the pace, not looking back for fear.<\/p>\n<p>It was dark, and my phone was deader than<\/p>\n<p>the summer, which had given way to winter.<\/p>\n<p>Bypassing autumn completely.<\/p>\n<p>But I stray, had been a long day and I was on my way<\/p>\n<p>Home.<\/p>\n<p><em>Keep walking, don\u2019t talk to strangers.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Don\u2019t flirt with dangers,<\/em><\/p>\n<p>I said to self as I had said many times<\/p>\n<p>many years ago, to growing children.<\/p>\n<p>Avoiding wet slippery leaves<\/p>\n<p>I considered breaking into a trot.<\/p>\n<p>Though, obviously not.<\/p>\n<p>It had been four decades since I last trotted.<\/p>\n<p>I thought I saw a van drawing abreast.<\/p>\n<p>Imagination, pictures in my mind, a Netflix fest.<\/p>\n<p>Me shoved into van, driven away to warehouse,<\/p>\n<p>Shackled and left to rot\u2026 I began to trot.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u2018But who would want to kidnap you,\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The smarter side of my brain taunted?<\/p>\n<p>Who would want a fat, funny, female in her fifties?<\/p>\n<p>Tap on my shoulder, my shriek made the van drive faster<\/p>\n<p>till I saw the red taillights disappear round the corner.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Madam,\u2019 said Mr OiOi.<\/p>\n<p>Older than me. Fatter than me.
