Blood on the walls
\nShattered glass on the floor
\nBroken China across the kitchen and dining area
\nThe furniture helter-skelter<\/p>\n
It was as if
\nI’d walked into a crime scene
\nNot unlike the ones I’d read about, or
\nSeen in the movies
\nHad I wished for a crime thriller or a murder mystery that hard?<\/p>\n
With trepidation and mounting fear
\nI took one step at a time
\nLooking for the body
\nAnticipating the killer to pounce on me
\nAnd claim me as his next victim<\/p>\n
Tick tock
\nBang!
\nA whimper,
\nWho was that?<\/p>\n
I turned around, scared to bits
\nThere stood the culprit
\nWithout guilt or fear
\nFace dripping red
\nThe eyes challenging<\/p>\n
Meow!
\nRolling my eyes I scooped up the troublemaker
\nSherlock, my cat
\nWas apparently nothing like his name source,
\nIn fact quite the opposite<\/p>\n
