{"id":132601,"date":"2023-09-02T15:30:45","date_gmt":"2023-09-02T19:30:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/?p=132601"},"modified":"2023-09-02T15:36:09","modified_gmt":"2023-09-02T19:36:09","slug":"the-sunflower-field-poem-7-prompt-7-by-ingrid","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/2023\/09\/the-sunflower-field-poem-7-prompt-7-by-ingrid\/","title":{"rendered":"The Sunflower Field- Poem #7 Prompt #7 by Ingrid"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Each year I have yearned<\/p>\n<p>to see all the sunflowers<\/p>\n<p>as they turned.<\/p>\n<p>But try as I might,<\/p>\n<p>the sunflowers grew<\/p>\n<p>out of sight!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Bowing, bending and blending<\/p>\n<p>Growing beyond my tending!<\/p>\n<p>Until that momentous day when<\/p>\n<p>the wooden swing was made!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Over field and<\/p>\n<p>over flower-<\/p>\n<p>I flew overhead<\/p>\n<p>with great power!<\/p>\n<p>Extending my legs and<\/p>\n<p>pushing back my knees,<\/p>\n<p>Oh, the laws of gravity<\/p>\n<p>did I cheat!!!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>High in the air-<\/p>\n<p>With a Bird&#8217;s Eye View<\/p>\n<p>I saw smiling sunflower heads<\/p>\n<p>AND<\/p>\n<p>the neighbour&#8217;s dog Blue!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Each year I have yearned to see all the sunflowers as they turned.
