Went for a walk to Eggerslack Woods<\/p>\n
And not in the Oak Woods nearby.<\/p>\n
I walked for nearly two miles<\/p>\n
And then out of boredom, I decided<\/p>\n
To walk through a long grassy field.<\/p>\n
I saw a sudden movement and stopped.<\/p>\n
Then I saw her – the female adder<\/p>\n
Reddish brown with black diamonds<\/p>\n
On her back shimmering, silvery in the light.<\/p>\n
She shrugged her diamonds as she slithered<\/p>\n
And stopped looking at me with her beady eyes.<\/p>\n
I retreated a few steps and she was gone.<\/p>\n
