I step onto the train<\/span><\/p>\n

Remember the first time he made me cry<\/span><\/p>\n

Because he asked if I wanted him to sit with me<\/span><\/p>\n

And I felt safe saying no<\/span><\/p>\n

To ride alone with my own thoughts<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It is the last scheduled tonight<\/span><\/p>\n

I step onto the train<\/span><\/p>\n

The conductor warns me not to miss my stop<\/span><\/p>\n

I remember the time I missed it texting him<\/span><\/p>\n

And had to walk from the next station<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The last time I saw him in person<\/span><\/p>\n

I wept, surprised and confused<\/span><\/p>\n

I step onto the train<\/span><\/p>\n

I said I didn\u2019t understand, can you tell me more<\/span><\/p>\n

And wasn\u2019t prepared for the answer<\/span><\/p>\n

I asked if we could meet up to chat<\/span><\/p>\n

They said the timing would work<\/span><\/p>\n

Its been over a month<\/span><\/p>\n

I step onto the train<\/span><\/p>\n

Of course the cancellation text comes after that<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I see him on the station<\/span><\/p>\n

And wish I hadn\u2019t\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I consider making a pit stop at the bar<\/span><\/p>\n

And grieve the fact that I want to hide from him<\/span><\/p>\n
