in the dark of the night<\/em><\/p>\n

my heart aches for the anonymous.<\/em><\/p>\n

uncertainty looms freely at night:<\/em><\/p>\n

what doesn’t steal at this hour?<\/em><\/p>\n

even the wind covets the mortals’<\/em><\/p>\n

treasure: tiny possession of air-<\/em><\/p>\n

breathe, the underrated end to all.<\/em><\/p>\n

but we’ll all pretend we’re ignorant<\/em><\/p>\n

of this knowledge though my Mama’s<\/em><\/p>\n

eye tells me that she’d wander one\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

day in the dark in search of the hideout<\/em><\/p>\n

of rest; only she dumbly reveals to me<\/em><\/p>\n

the charity that death might offer.<\/em><\/p>\n

even though this might be true,<\/em><\/p>\n

i hear the anonymous whisper<\/em><\/p>\n

“search within, a spark is aching<\/em><\/p>\n

for the light”. Oh, my dear mother,<\/em><\/p>\n
