{"id":133948,"date":"2023-09-02T18:01:13","date_gmt":"2023-09-02T22:01:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/?p=133948"},"modified":"2023-09-02T19:44:26","modified_gmt":"2023-09-02T23:44:26","slug":"inside-me","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/2023\/09\/inside-me\/","title":{"rendered":"Inside Me\u2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>My life has taken turns and twists<\/p>\n<p>thats made me who I am.<\/p>\n<p>An angry, volatile kind of<\/p>\n<p>gal, that\u2019s full of love still.<\/p>\n<p>Those facets may not mix<\/p>\n<p>to you, but inside me<\/p>\n<p>they do.<\/p>\n<p>I pray and pray and do<\/p>\n<p>the right things. I try<\/p>\n<p>not to get thrown too far off<\/p>\n<p>my square. I know I\u2019m<\/p>\n<p>far from perfect, but I continue<\/p>\n<p>to try and try- to climb up to<\/p>\n<p>a higher plateau before my<\/p>\n<p>time to die.<\/p>\n<p>I give out food, and donate blood,<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes I\u2019ll give a ride to a stranger,<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ll keep trying to help others,<\/p>\n<p>and I\u2019ll write instead of fight.<\/p>\n<p>I get angry and blow up,<\/p>\n<p>I scream, shout and holler.<\/p>\n<p>But through it all I know my<\/p>\n<p>God doesn\u2019t blame me for<\/p>\n<p>blowing up. So now you know<\/p>\n<p>some of me and I don\u2019t mind the<\/p>\n<p>share.
