{"id":134872,"date":"2023-09-02T18:39:58","date_gmt":"2023-09-02T22:39:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/?p=134872"},"modified":"2023-09-02T18:39:58","modified_gmt":"2023-09-02T22:39:58","slug":"my-crown-and-glory","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/2023\/09\/my-crown-and-glory\/","title":{"rendered":"My Crown And Glory"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>My crown and glory is my hair.<\/p>\n<p>Thinning though it may be<\/p>\n<p>when it looks good,<\/p>\n<p>I look and feel good too.<\/p>\n<p>kinky, curly, wavy or straight<\/p>\n<p>my hair represents me.<\/p>\n<p>It is who I am.<\/p>\n<p>When it acts the way I choose<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m on top of the world<\/p>\n<p>demanding respect,<\/p>\n<p>and-<\/p>\n<p>crying with a loud voice<\/p>\n<p>without saying a word.<\/p>\n<p>Look at me!<\/p>\n<p>Don&#8217;t I look good?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Thick like wool.<\/p>\n<p>Soft like cotton.<\/p>\n<p>Long and flowing,<\/p>\n<p>short and sassy<\/p>\n<p>my hair demands to be noticed.<\/p>\n<p>Although it&#8217;s not what it use to be<\/p>\n<p>and may never be again<\/p>\n<p>thanks to crochet, weave and wigs;<\/p>\n<p>a beautiful comb, barrette, or a scrunchy placed just right.<\/p>\n<p>My hair can once again take center stage<\/p>\n<p>as my crown and glory.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My crown and glory is my hair.
