{"id":134952,"date":"2023-09-02T18:30:37","date_gmt":"2023-09-02T22:30:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/?p=134952"},"modified":"2023-09-03T11:29:25","modified_gmt":"2023-09-03T15:29:25","slug":"hour-6-level","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/2023\/09\/hour-6-level\/","title":{"rendered":"Hour 6: Level"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If you peered over the edge of the earth<\/p>\n<p>Do you know what you\u2019d see?<\/p>\n<p>What you could hope to find?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019d see graveyards filled with the bottoms of gravestones<\/p>\n<p>A constant tripping hazard<\/p>\n<p>A minefield<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>You wouldn\u2019t find flowers or trees or bushes<\/p>\n<p>Just root systems and thorns<\/p>\n<p>All intertwined<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019d find not a single heartbeat<\/p>\n<p>No shining sun<\/p>\n<p>No life<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>But you\u2019d find love, nonetheless<\/p>\n<p>Everywhere you looked<\/p>\n<p>Your mother, father, husband, wife<\/p>\n<p>Everyone you lost for good<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>And in the darkness and the shadows<\/p>\n<p>The world would seem so bright<\/p>\n<p>And though the sun would not exist<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019d bathe in something\u2019s light<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If the earth isn\u2019t flat, then tell me why they lied<\/p>\n<p>I mean, that\u2019s what we call it, right?<\/p>\n<p>When someone that we love has died?<\/p>\n<p>They\u2019re not gone forever<\/p>\n<p>They\u2019re simply on the other side<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If you peered over the edge of the earth Do you know what you\u2019d see?
