I\u2019ve joined a poetry marathon for the first time in my writing life.<\/p>\n
Its really quite the challenge and it gives me little time to perfect my poetry the way I\u2019d like.<\/p>\n
I\u2019ve written haiku\u2019s, sonnets and epics and elegy\u2019s by and by. I\u2019ve written lyric poetry, but at this time I\u2019m just trying to get by.<\/p>\n
I\u2019ve published my own books of poetry which included villanelles, some prose poetry as well as pantoums, several ballads and narratives.<\/p>\n
But, now in this marathon I\u2019m having such a time \u2018cause there\u2019s little time to get my poems together to make them more refined.<\/p>\n
I must think quick for a subject to expound and I\u2019m trying to keep positive. I\u2019ve written ode\u2019s and sestinas with plenty of time to proof.<\/p>\n
Even so, I\u2019m loving the challenge mainly because I\u2019m big on rest. I know I will make it through right along with the rest of youse and then we\u2019ll celebrate.<\/p>\n
