“Walking…”<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Used to run<\/p>\n upwards of 8 miles a day overall<\/p>\n left the Corps – promised never again<\/p>\n kept it too!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n This year has been rough –<\/p>\n way more than I knew…<\/p>\n hospital stays for doing what a doc said<\/p>\n and trusting what I was told…<\/p>\n but ya HAVE TO get done<\/p>\n each thing BEFORE you move on<\/p>\n – or ya WON’T move on.<\/p>\n So I have and will<\/p>\n …we deal as we must.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Is important to MOVE<\/p>\n when things hurt…<\/p>\n you can walk through it –<\/p>\n but not sit …not sit.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n I use a walking stick<\/p>\n NOT A CANE!<\/p>\n Is a stick – for balance<\/p>\n and steadiness over rough,<\/p>\n uneven surfaces.<\/p>\n Ya don’t bend, lean,<\/p>\n or walk like an old crip.<\/p>\n Ya stand tall and sure<\/p>\n and move with authority –<\/p>\n and yes retaining a level of pride.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n I wander the road…<\/p>\n share voices and hello’s<\/p>\n breath deep<\/p>\n step sure<\/p>\n and taste my strength<\/p>\n and will to be – to exist<\/p>\n to live<\/p>\n and I still care<\/p>\n about and for those …near.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n I’ve neighbors<\/p>\n and we share words<\/p>\n and thoughts… and frustrations…<\/p>\n and needs.\u00a0 We DO things,<\/p>\n necessary things – we help<\/p>\n as only we can<\/p>\n because we CAN and know<\/p>\n no other way.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Chris<\/p>\n (C) Chris Twyford 9\/2\/2023<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Hour 11 9\/2\/2023 “Walking…” Used to run upwards of 8 miles a day overall left the Corps – promised never again kept it too!
